Diagnosis of canine parvovirus through the use of immunochromatographic tests in a veterinary clinic in Tarapoto One of the gastrointestinal diseases of canines that stands out is the parvovirus, which mainly affects the puppy stage, causing diarrhea and severe decay that in some cases may cause bleeding, if a quick and correct treatment is not sought, the puppy tends to die. , the objective of this research work is to make the definitive diagnosis of canine parvovirus through the use of immunochromatographic tests in patients with enteric signs, being an applied type of investigation and a correlational level where the variables studied are the prevalence of canine parvovirus and its relationship with sex, age and breed of dogs, analyzed through the use of immunochromatographic tests (DFV Test Parvo/Corona CPV/CCV), thus identifying the prevalence levels of the disease, the sample considered was 275 dogs of a veterinary clinic in Tarapoto, it was evaluated in the months of January to March 2018, the results were that 114 (41,45 %) were negative and 161 (58,55 %) were positive, regarding sex 138 (50,2 %) were females and 137 (49,8 %) were males, where 59 (21,45 %) were females with negative results, 79 (28,73 %), females with positive results, 55 (20,0 %) were males with negative result and 82 (29,82 %), were males with a positive result, with respect to age, the positive cases at the ages of 2 months and 3 months with 56 (20,36 %) and 51 (18,55 %) respectively, instead at the age of 6 months with 2 (0,73 %), the prevalence of canine Parvovirus being almost zero, finally regarding the breed it was recorded that the breeds with the highest prevalence of canine Parvovirus are the mestizos and Shit- zú with 70 (25,45 %) and 30 (10,91 %) respectively, in the correlation of variables, the Pearson Chi Square test of independence (X2), demonstrates with 95 % confidence, with statistical evidence of affirming that there is no correlation between the prevalence with sex, age and race (P>0.05), affirming that the prevalence does not depend on the variables studied.
