The research determined the effect of 03 plant extracts, neem (Azadirachta indica A. Juss.), marupa (Simarouba amara Aubl) and physic nut tree (Jatropha curcas L.) on the control of Hypsipyla grandella Zéller. In the initial laboratory phase, bioassays were conducted with 03 aqueous substances of biocidal plants, the larvae of the III instar of Hypsipyla grandella Zéller were fed with mahogany leaf discs impregnated with concentrations (10; 20; 30; 40, 50 and 60%) of the substances. The bioassay showed that Azadirachta indica A. Juss and Jatropha curcas L. at a concentration of 40% showed significant results on larvae, and Simarouba amara Aubl. at a concentration of 60%. These doses were applied in the field to mahogany plants established in an agroforestry system with cocoa in a completely randomized block design (CRBD) with 30 plants for each treatment, where the variable effect of extracts was evaluated. For the experiment, Hypsipyla grandella Zéller III instar larvae were placed in each plant on tender shoots previously treated with concentrations of 40% Azadirachta indica L. and Jatropha curcas, and 60% Simarouba amara Aubl, the larvae came from laboratory rearing. The extract of Jatropha curcas L. at a concentration of 40% obtained 6.31% of attack, compared to the other extracts, the control of larvae of Hypsipyla grandella Zéller in mahogany is achieved through the application of Jatropha curcas extract, which also acts as a feeding inhibitor in the larvae.
