Knowledge and use of contraceptive methods in students of the Alfredo Tejada Díaz school Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and use of contraceptive methods in students of the Alfredo Tejada Díaz - School year 2024. Methodology: a basic quantitative study was conducted, with a descriptive design, transversal type, as well as observational with a descriptive correlational level. A sample of 188 students of the 5th year was taken, a survey was used as a study technique and a questionnaire was used as an instrument. Results: “MEDIUM” knowledge was found in 59.6%, “HIGH” knowledge in 38.8%, regarding the use of contraceptive methods “SOMETIMES” was found in 42.6% and “NEVER” in 39.4%. A total of 64.8% of students with “MEDIUM” knowledge never use contraceptive methods and only 47.2% of students with “HIGH” knowledge use condoms. Conclusion: It is concluded that there is a relationship between knowledge and use of contraceptive methods with an acceptable positive relationship of 0.655. Finally, it is suggested to provide training on contraceptive methods to improve knowledge so that they can use them because a large number of school children do not use contraceptive methods and knowledge is at a medium level in most of the population.
