Forest disturbances such as fragmentation and deforestation, which is a product of extensive livestock farming, agriculture and the growth of human settlements, increase the isolation between habitats and species, thus affecting the natural landscape pattern, water cycles and regimes climatic conditions at a regional and local scale, being able to condition and / or modify the diversity of epiphytic and terrestrial species mainly due to their direct dependence on microclimatic parameters of temperature, radiation and relative humidity, which directly attack the biological components of primary interest within of the ecological cycle, one of them would be the family Orchidaceous, considered by many scientists who study them as indicator species of ecological quality, in that sense the following question was posed: What is the diversity and distribution of orchids, in forest, patches and landscapes intervened to propose the Establishment of an ecological conservation corridor in the "Alto Mayo Protection Forest" ?. For this purpose they were proposed as objectives; determine the indices of richness, diversity, distribution and composition of the Orchidaceous family in the "Alto Mayo Protection Forest"; identify and determine the geographic distribution of the species, to estimate the state of their conservation in the strata evaluated; establish the potential points with greater diversity of existing species, in the ecological corridor of conservation of habitats, disseminate the existence of indicator, endemic and / or threatened species, protected by national and international legislation (CITES.) in the study area (BPAM) ); using the linear transects or transects Whittaker plots as evaluation methodology. Obtaining as a result the identification of 392 species that are grouped into 88 genera distributed in the four sectors evaluated, concluding that the Venceremos sector has a representativeness of 6343 individuals that are distributed in 243 species and the epidendrum genus as the most diverse with 65 species.
