The research aimed to explain the impact of agricultural production on the economic growth of the San Martin region, period 2015 - 2020. The research was non-experimental, of the applied type, with longitudinal cut and descriptive explanatory design. It used documentary analysis technique through production and economic growth files of INEI, Ministry of Production and others, applying the analysis guide as instruments. The results show that agricultural production amounted to 12,344,788 million tons in five years, with the highest average production being paddy rice with a total of 4,645,753.7 tons, oil palm with a total production of 2,453,338.9 tons in five years, and banana with 2,424,969.6 tons in five years. These are followed by coffee, cocoa, hard yellow corn, oranges, papaya and cassava with an accumulated production of 66,016.3, 534,441.1, 664,570, 325,198.1, 126,398.9 and 567,486.3 tons respectively. Likewise, the economic growth in the region is represented by the GDP at constant prices with a five-year average of 5,834,350, the participation of the Gross Value Added is 1%, which indicates the level of production in each year of consumer products discounting indirect taxes and intermediate consumption at the production factors cost. The sectors that contribute most to the region's economy are agriculture, commerce, construction and other services. It is concluded that the impact of production on economic growth is high at 62.12%, with a ratio of 0.88 and an incidence of 8.16 monetary values.
