Objective: To determine the epidemiological, clinical, histopathological and molecular characteristics of breast cancer in women, Hospital II-E Lamas, February 2021 - January 2022. Materials and methods: It is a basic, descriptive, non-experimental and retrospective study with a population of 39 patients and a final sample of 32 cases, collecting information through the data collection form in women with a definitive diagnosis of breast cancer from February 2021 to January 2022. Results: The age group that was most frequently affected was from 40 to 60 years old with 59.4% and an average age of 53 years, only 12.5% presented early menarche and 6.25% late menopause with an average age of 12.78 years and 48.80 years respectively. Of the patients, 53.13% reported having consumed oral contraceptives and only 6.25% were nulliparous. Only 3.13% had their first pregnancy after the age of 35 and only 6.25% had tobacco consumption as a habit. The most frequently found personal history was Diabetes Mellitus type II and High blood pressure in 25% and 18.75% respectively, while 37.5% reported having a history of breast cancer in their family. The reasons for consultation found were the sensation of a lump or mass in the breast in 93.75%, pain in 40.63%, changes in the appearance, shape and size of the breast in 34.38% and 6 .25% presented for an incidental abnormal finding. The most frequently found lesion diameter range was 2 to 5 cm in 68.75% and 43.75% presented lymph node involvement. A 68.75% of the cases had a duration of illness greater than 6 months and 46.88% were overweight, followed by obesity in 28.13%. A 96.88% were infiltrating ductal type, while 3.13% were infiltrating lobular type. In molecular subtypes, luminal B subtype was present in 34.38%, luminal A in 25%, triple negative in 21.88% and HER2 positive in 18.75%. Conclusions: In the studied patients, breast cancer affected to a greater extent those found between 40 to 60 years old, users of oral contraceptives, multiparous, with chronic diseases and with a family history of breast cancer. The main reason for consultation was the lump or mass, followed by pain in the breast, with a duration of illness greater than six months. The most common lesion size was 2 to 5 cm and had lymph node involvement. The predominant histological type was the infiltrating ductal and the most frequent molecular subtype was luminal B.
