Research on family participation in their children's learning shows the fundamental role of parents when intervening in this process, demonstrating that their expectations, defined as aspirations, hopes, desires and dreams, and beliefs, defined as interpretations, understandings or assumptions of truth that guide decisions, have a strong effect on learning achievements. Therefore, the research problem was posed: To what extent will the INTERFAM (Intercambiando Experiencias Familiares) program influence the expectations and beliefs that determine learning in children of the IE N° 220 El Tambo? The research is applied because it aims to learn in order to act, modify and improve the expectations and beliefs of parents. The design is pre-experimental with a single group. The selected sample is equivalent to 44% of the population, chosen by non-probabilistic or directed sampling, conformed by children of 3 and 4 years old and their parents in a total of 11 families of the IE 220 El Tambo. After applying the INTERFAM Program (Interchanging Family Experiences), in its dimensions of coordination, preparation and execution of sessions, the results show that there are significant differences between the scores obtained in the pre- and post-test, this is evidenced in the Wilcoxon rank test when obtaining a p-value = 0.004 lower than 0. 05. Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected and the research hypothesis that the INTERFAM program (Interchanging Family Experiences) was applied at 95% confidence is accepted, which allows determining that it has significantly influenced the expectations and beliefs that determine the learning of the children of the Educational Institution No. 220 of El Tambo.
