The new generation or people born from 2000 onwards are considered as part of the technological society and the school requires a new innovative approach to explain the various events of nature and society taking into account the various technological digital media, more effective, virtual, dynamic, minimizing space, time and economy to consider themselves as digital native citizens. The objective of the study was to develop a strategy for the use of tablets to achieve digital competencies in teachers of educational institutions in the rural area of the district of Moyobamba, 2022. The methodological aspect was applied, the level was experimental under the quasi-experimental design, the research was developed with 60 teachers in the rural area of Moyobamba, and the main instrument of the study was the questionnaire. The results showed that before the experimental group treatment, 76.2% of the educators showed an undeveloped level, and after the treatment, 100% showed a highly developed level. Therefore, it was statistically concluded that the application of the didactic strategy of using tablets achieved digital competencies in teachers of educational institutions in the rural area of Moyobamba, 2022 (-1.96 > -5.543; p-value = 0.000).
