The main objective of the research was to "Evaluate methane (CH4) emissions generated by enteric fermentation and livestock manure management at the Calzada livestock farm", for which it was necessary to identify the types of livestock, the population of each of them, as well as the weight of the cattle and milk production in kg/day in the case of cattle in order to determine their weight and milk production in kg/day. "In order to do so, it was necessary to identify the types of cattle, the population of each one of them, as well as the weight on foot and milk production in kg/day in the case of cattle in order to determine their respective emission factors, The same factors that for the other livestock were adopted from the IPCC guidelines, where the methodology was also based on, it was determined that cattle emit 83.4% of emissions by enteric fermentation equivalent to 11226.80 kgCH4/year and 0.01123 GgCH4/year, The same is true in the case of methane emissions from manure management, where cattle emit 64.56% of total emissions, the most methane to the environment, Likewise, it was determined that emissions from fermentation are much higher with 98.30% equivalent to 0.01368 GgCH4/year compared to 1.70% which is 0.232x10-3 GgCH4/year for manure management, also contrasting the existence of significant differences between both methane emissions in the Calzada cattle farm.
