The thesis entitled "Investment in road infrastructure and economic growth in the San Martin region 2010 - 2019". National University of San Martin. Tarapoto - Peru, is a quantitative approach research, applied type, descriptive correlational level, having as population and sample the documentary collection of road infrastructure and economic growth of the San Martin region 2010- 2019, applying the technique of documentary analysis. The results indicate that, the level of investment in road infrastructure in the San Martin region during the period 2010 - 2019, amounts to a total of S/ 1,383.9 million, of which S/ 1,221.4 million (83.3%) corresponds to investment in road infrastructure construction and S/ 162.4 million (11.5%) corresponds to investment in road infrastructure rehabilitation, on the other hand the level of economic growth of the San Martin region 2010 - 2019 was 47.3% in terms of absolute values and 11.03% in relation to the national GDP, going from S/ 4,034.36 million in 2010 to S/ 6,107.79 million in 2019. It is concluded that, the relationship between investments in road infrastructure and economic growth in the San Martin region between the years 2010-2019, shows a low positive correlation, where the Pearson's R value is 0.357, and the coefficient of determination which is R2=12.74, indicating that 12.74% of the factors of economic growth depend on investments in road infrastructure.
