In the present Thesis Project was executed with the purpose of determining the influence of the management of hospital solid waste in the environment and in the public health of the contingency Hospital MINSA of the City of Moyobamba, for it the characterization and quantification of the waste was executed generated hospital solids, evaluate the current situation of solid waste management and identify and evaluate the possible socio-environmental impacts of the inadequate internal and strange management of hospital solid waste management in the MINSA contingency Hospital of the city of Moyobamba. the collection of solid waste produced during 7 days, the execution of the solid waste management stages was observed and the impact evaluation obtained the following results: It produces approximately 52.54 Kg / day of which 67.54% are of the biocontaminated class , 24.71% are common waste and minor is of class D e special waste with 7.76%, this is explained because in the MINSA contingency Hospital food is not cooked (there is no food preparation remains), the situation of solid waste management of the MINSA contingency Hospital according to the evaluation carried out it could determine that it is in a poor state, this because it does not count adequate and sufficient deposits, because an adequate segregation is not carried out, causing that it is not possible to carry out a correct collection and transfer of solid waste; as regards the central storage is inadequate, does not meet the minimum requirements established in the current regulations, the final disposal is made in a municipal dump and the environmental impact is slight in the contingency Hospital MINSA, being the value obtained is of -61, however, measures must be taken to reduce the high negative impacts that the matrix presents, in the stage of final disposal on the environmental factor of water and soil and on the high values caused by the stages of solid waste management (Segregation , collection and intermediate and external transport and in the final disposition) in health and safety, the same ones that are generating very high impacts, which may cause illnesses in both the work and hospital patients.
