The present work was carried out with the objective of determining the carbon capture in the coffee crop established in different years in thinned forest and its contribution of accumulation in each component, having as a witness the secondary forest, in the Urahuasha sector, belonging to the District of the Band of Shilcayo in the Province of San Martín, whose geographic location: Latitude South Longitude West, to an altitude of 840 msnm in soils with clayey texture and climate with average temperature of 22ºC and precipitation of 2000 mm per year. A DBCA design was used with five treatments (2-year coffee, 3-year coffee, 4-year-old coffee, 6-year-old coffee and complementary control) and four repetitions, the parameters recorded were carbon in the soil, in the litter, in the shrub and herbaceous part, in the fallen and dead trees, in the standing trees alive and dead. It was determined that the highest percentage of carbon accumulation of the various components occurred in the soil of each system which represents an average of 33.81% of all the carbon captured. However, it was observed that the presence of the total of the aerial biomass greatly affects the total carbon captured in the systems, which likewise represents an average of 66.44% determined that the highest carbon capture was obtained in an agroforestry system with coffee of four years (T3) with a total of 43 887.38 Kg.ha-1.
