The research work was carried out in the city of Moyobamba, for which the general objective was to evaluate the state of environmental pollution by hydrocarbons (HC), influenced by vehicular traffic in the city of Moyobamba, 2022. Within its territorial scope, 24 monitoring points were selected to measure vehicular traffic and the concentration levels of hydrocarbons (HC), which was carried out using an automatic AIR QUALITY DETECTOR meter. The measurements were taken during four months during the study and with a biweekly frequency. In the Calvario neighborhood, the total distribution of motorized vehicles is around 365 units per hour, followed by the Zaragoza neighborhood with a total of 231 units per hour, the Lluyllucucha neighborhoods with a total of 225 units per hour and the Belén neighborhood with a total of 208 units per hour. The average concentration of total hydrocarbons expressed as hexane (HC) showed a value of 32 mg/m3 on the Baños Termales road, being the highest concentration, and the lowest values of 10 mg/m3 were found on jirón Apurímac, San Francisco, 5 de diciembre, Avenida CANAAM, San Carlos and jirón Andalucía. Regarding the correlation and significance, and according to the data, the calculated t has a value of 9.47670846, which when compared with the critical value of t (2.06865761) is higher and therefore is located in the zone of non-acceptance of the null hypothesis. Therefore, the decision is to reject the null hypothesis that indicates that there is no influence of trafficability on the concentration of HC present in the city of Moyobamba and to accept the alternative hypothesis that indicates that there is an influence of trafficability on the concentration of HC present in the city of Moyobamba.
