Determination of the efficiency of the pulverized extract of Opuntia ficus-indica "Tuna" in the removal of turbidity and color parameters of fish farm wastewater, through the protocol of drying, crushing and sieving to obtain the coagulant powder. A concentration of 500 mL of distilled water at 1%, 3% and 5% and speeds of 150 rpm, 200 rpm and 250 rpm were used to obtain the coagulant. The lowest result obtained of all the tests was 90 UPC pt/co scale for the color parameter obtained in jar n°06 and at a speed of 150 rpm, even though the result of the color parameter is not within the margin of 15 UPC pt/co scale, it is the minimum value obtained. Regarding the turbidity parameter, 6.36 NTU was obtained in jar n°04 and at a speed of 150 rpm, even if the turbidity parameter result is not within the 5 NTU range, it is the minimum value that could be achieved from all the tests performed. In addition, the natural coagulant does not modify the pH of the water, thus achieving a superior color removal efficiency of 82% and turbidity of 98.70%, using the same 1% concentration. Thus, the results obtained for color and turbidity were acceptable, since, despite not reaching the established LMPs parameters, it was possible to achieve a reduction of the initial parameters during the wastewater clarification stage, by means of the jug test.
