The research entitled "Impact of income transfer programs on household consumption expenditures: Pension 65 in the department of San Martin 2012 - 2018", had as objective to determine the impact of income transfer programs on household consumption expenditures: Pension 65 in the department of San Martin 2012 - 2018. The methodology was basic, the level was descriptive and correlational, and the design was non-experimental, longitudinal. The sample consisted of the documentary collection with respect to the variables under study, a collection that corresponds to the region of San Martin between the years 2012- 2018 and 384 older adult beneficiaries of the Pension 65 program from 2012 to 2018; moreover, the technique was the documentary analysis and the instrument was the documentary analysis guide. It is concluded that Pension 65 income transfers from the period 2012 to the period 2018, has had a positive or increasing trend. The representation of Pension 65 in income is significantly associated with consumption in clothing and footwear since the coefficient X2=81.504 and Bilateral Sig ,000 (p<.01); in the same way with recreation expenses, since the coefficient X2=129.432 and Bilateral Sig ,000 (p<.01).
