The research entitled "Budgetary Execution of the Provincial Municipality of Rioja and its relationship with socioeconomic development, year 2018", is a basic, correlational, quantitative, cross-sectional and verification-oriented research; with a non-experimental correlational design; having as a study sample 62 municipal workers and all the information regarding the execution of the budget; applying the survey technique and documentary analysis for the collection of field information. The conclusions detail that: There is a relationship between the Budget execution of the Provincial Municipality of Rioja with socioeconomic development, year 2018, evaluated using Pearson's correlation coefficient, with a value of 0.637 good positive correlation, with a bilateral significance level of 0.00, and significance level of 0.0. The budget execution level of the Provincial Municipality of Rioja, year 2018, is of 66.7% for all expenditure generics, a value considered to be regular; and the generic of Acquisition of non-financial assets with 45.0%; Goods and Services with 90.1%; the financing source Determined Resources with 89.2%, Ordinary Resources with 25.2%, Directly Collected Resources with 62.8%. The level of socio-economic development of the province of Rioja, period 2018, is 49.20% (good and very good), where the Health factors are valued with 50.0%, Education with 43.5%; Poverty reduction with 46.8%; Tourism with 54.8%; Contribution to the development of productive activities with 54.8%.
