The following Thesis was the product of a continuous research process, with an approximate time of 8 months, having as main theories that my research based on Law 29763, which specifies that "Forest Plantations" are constituted forest ecosystems from human intervention through the installation of one or more forest species, native or introduced, being the following a descriptive research. How is the ecosystem quality in forest plantations applying the QBR index in the Metoyaco sector, Rioja Province, San Martin – 2018? the General Objective is to determine the quality of ecosystem in forest plantations by applying the QBR index in the Metoyaco sector, Rioja Province, San Martín – 2018. The Specific Objectives are to Diagnose the current ecosystem situation in forest plantations in the Metoyaco sector. Apply the QBR index (of quality of recovered forests) in ecosystem in forest plantations in the Metoyaco sector. Recommend alternatives for ecosystem conservation in forest plantations in the Metoyaco sector. The descriptive analysis method was used, data obtained with the help of statistical tables, the recovered forest quality index (QBR) was applied in the Metoyaco sector; we observe the most predominant tree species in the metoyaco sector, we have as eucalyptus torrellana with 50.11%, the most predominant shrub species, the pijuayo with 28.57%. The conclusions of the present thesis, In the diagnosis made of the ecosystems in forest plantations, it is known the different predominant species such as eucalyptus torrellano in arboreal, the pijuayo shrubby and the heliconeas in herbaceous. With respect to the quality index of riparian forest (QBR), in the Metoyaco sector it is concluded that it has a beginning of important alteration, intermediate quality, with a score of 60. According to the results obtained in the research carried out in relation to the ecosystems in forest plantations present in the metoyaco sector, the conservation alternatives were elaborated.
