MATIJUGANDO didactic activities to develop spatial relations in 5 year old students of I.E.P. San Lucas, Rioja From the mother's womb, the baby is in constant movement, feeling the need to begin exploring its body. At birth, they begin to investigate the world around them by responding to sensory stimuli. As time goes on, they develop more nuanced connections that allow them to address challenges such as shape, movement and location. The approach to mathematics at this level is developmental and is based on the child's level of cognitive, emotional, affective and physical maturity, as well as the classroom environment that will foster the growth and organization of their mathematical thinking. Statistics from around the world show that 64% of children are not able to correctly locate things with respect to their own body. With this data, we can see that our preschoolers need more rigorous academic preparation, but that this can only happen if early childhood teachers have adequate mathematical training. In virtue of the above, the research was born, of wanting to develop the spatial relations subject-subject, object-object, distance relations and relations to displacements, with the purpose of demonstrating that the didactic activities MATIJUGANDO develop the spatial relations in the students of five years of the I.E.P. San Lucas, Rioja. This study was conducted in Segunda Jerusalén from June to September 2021. The design used was pre-experimental with a single study group of 21 students; to which a checklist was applied in an entrance test, then, fifteen class sessions were applied and the exit test was measured. Among its results, with respect to spatial relationships, a qualification in process was found in the pretest (76.2%) and qualification in expected achievement in the posttest (95.2%), improving the relationships of subject/subject, object/object, distances and displacements. Concluding that the didactic activities MATIJUGANDO based on the cognitive theories of Piaget and Vygotski, managed to develop spatial relationships in five-year-old children, being evidenced by the statistical test of ranks with Wilcoxon sign (p-value<0.01) valued as highly significant.
