The absence of communication routes is a problem in our country, even though we have the economic resources to improve it, pedestrians still have problems saving time and energy to reach their destinations. The consequences are a lack of transitability between local roads, which harms the trade of crops, discourages tourism, and lacks easy access to work centers, educational institutions, among others, thus hindering the improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants. Thus, the main objective is to optimize the transitability of pedestrians and transportation, for which the proposal is to carry out the geometric and structural design of the local road that joins the Cushipe - Llaturpamba hamlets, located in the Santa Cruz de Chuca District, Santiago de Chuco Province, La Libertad Department. For this, we started by applying the topographic study in the study area to determine the characteristics and parameters of the geometric design of the road according to the geometric design standard for roads DG-2018, in turn, the hydrological analysis and hydraulic design were developed, using the Manual of Hydrology, Hydraulics and Drainage of the Ministry of Transport and Communications; executing the Road Sign design based on the regulations of the Manual of Motor Traffic Control Devices for streets and highways. First, a data collection of the traffic study was prepared to determine the average annual daily index (IMDA) obtaining 350,651 equivalent axes; Likewise, soil mechanics studies were carried out, obtaining an average CBR of 9.23%. According to this data, the pavement was designed using the AASHTO 93 methodology. Consequently, the hydrological study was carried out, obtaining 21 triangular section ditches (0.50 m deep, 1.30 m wide, 1:2 interior slope inclination, 1:1 exterior slope inclination), projecting 40 TMC culverts of 36 ""and 24"", as well as 10 speed bumps. Finally, with the design used, we seek to reduce travel time and costs, thereby generating an improvement in the profitability of the project and economic growth in the region
