Objective: This research aimed to determine the efficiency of cyanide biodegradation at different concentrations, pH and incubation time by Pseudomonas sp. through the evaluation of the interaction between variables. For this purpose, it was sought to identify optimal biodegradation patterns and propose bioremediation strategies to mitigate cyanide contamination in different environmental and industrial contexts. Methodology: Experiments were carried out under controlled conditions using cultures of Pseudomonas sp. The variables studied were the initial cyanide concentration, the pH of the medium and the incubation time. Assays were carried out using bioreactor culture techniques and periodic analyzes were performed to measure cyanide reduction and assess biodegradation efficiency. Results: The results revealed that the biodegradation efficiency of cyanide by Pseudomonas sp. was influenced by the initial cyanide concentration, the pH of the medium and the incubation time. Patterns of degradation were observed indicating non-linear relationships between these variables. In some cases, certain conditions favored higher biodegradation efficiency, while in other contexts, suboptimal degradation rates were obtained. Conclusions: It was concluded that the efficiency of cyanide biodegradation by Pseudomonas sp. It is highly dependent on environmental conditions. The interaction between cyanide concentration, pH and time influenced the biodegradation results. Optimal ranges of pH, cyanide concentration and incubation time that maximize biodegradation efficiency were identified.
