ABSTRACT The present research work was carried out in the fields of the farmers who plant the onion as the main crop, located in the town of Talambo, La Libertad Region. The objective was: To know the chemical control of Peronospora destructor Berk in Allium cepa L. in Chepén, La Libertad. The evaluated parameters were: Agricultural fungicides that use, dose of application, moment of application, frequency of application, form of preparation of agricultural fungicides, costs of the chemical control, among others, said data were obtained through the application of surveys. It is concluded that the farmers of the Chepén town center of the Chepén province, each season use more frequently the active ingredients such as Mancozeb + Benalaxyl, in addition that increase the number of applications of fungicides, increase the application doses, increase the costs of control and production costs. Mancozeb + Benalaxyl, Mancozeb + Metalaxyl are the main active ingredients most used.
