The main purpose of the study was to size the hauling fleet to increase production at Minera Las Lomas Doradas, Piura, 2024. The approach was quantitative, applied type, and pre-experimental design, where the population consisted of the loading and hauling fleet of the company, and the sample was made up of 28 cycle times from the hauling fleet. The instrument used was a field observation guide, which was subjected to expert judgment for validation. Subsequently, reliability was assessed using the Student's T-test for related samples, with a t-value of 154.665, a critical t-value of 1.70, and a significance level (sig. < 0.05). According to the results obtained, the ideal fleet of 4 Scania R620 trucks was identified, which met the production target, along with a reduction in average cycle times from 13.90 min/cycle to 9.47 min/cycle. Additionally, the truck queue time at the mineral loading equipment decreased from 6.92 min/cycle to 2.47 min/cycle. Regarding the loading unit, there was a decrease in its operational productivity from 509.78 tn/hr to 499.42 tn/hr due to the transition from a fleet of 6 trucks to 4 trucks. It is concluded that an improvement and correct sizing of the hauling fleet in a mining operation optimizes the process by using a smaller fleet, significantly reducing the fleet cycle and complying with the monthly production plan while using fewer resources, as well as reducing the number of trucks.
