ABSTRACT The purpose of the current research was to determine the population growth of Eisenia foetida “California Red” with different manures in Otuzco, La Libertad,” using 4 treatments. T1: cattle manure + wheat stubble, T2: sheep manure + wheat stubble, T3: guinea pig manure + wheat stubble, T4: rabbit manure + wheat stubble, with the proportion of 1:1. The experiment was developed for 135 days, taking into account days of precomposting and 90 days of nutrition. Sixteen experimental units were placed in plywood containers with dimensions of 0.4 x 0.25 x 0.2 m. 0.02 cubic meters of precompost were incorporated into each box. After that, forty adult worms were sown for each unit, using a total of 640 worms at the beginning of sowing. The evaluations were carried out at 15, 30, 45, 60 and 90 days from sowing. To carry out the evaluation, the substrate was manually extracted from the boxes and the cocones, juveniles (without clitellum) and adults (with clitellum) were separated, then counted and weighed. The study design was established using the completely randomized block design (DBCA) with four repetitions, the data collected in the evaluations were analyzed using an analysis of variance and Tuckey with a confidence level of 95%.
