The present study is a clinical trial, whose objective was to determine the effect of Xeros Dentaid® Spray against the salivary profile in children of five years according to the level of dentobacterial plaque; the study group was made up of 96 samples of saliva from children and / or girls who underwent the simplified oral hygiene index IHO - S to be able to group them according to the 3 levels of plaque dentobacteriana (16 children for each group) . Samples were taken using the Seif Tomas method for non-stimulated saliva, with the measurement of salivary profile parameters, such as: salivary flow, salivary volume, population density, salivary pH, buffer capacity, and fluoride levels. The results establish, after application of the stimulus, a salivary profile with salivary volume 7.54ml with one touch and 7.66 with two touches; salivary flow: 0.75ml / min with one touch and 0.77ml / min with two touches; population density 1.83x105 CFU / ml with one touch and 2.34x105 CFU / ml with two touch; the salivary pH: 7.32 with one touch and 7.50 with two touches; Buffer capacity: 7.01 with one touch and 7.08 with two touches and fluoride levels: 0.057ppm with one touch and 0.056 with two touches. It is concluded that the application of Xeros Dentaid® Spray has effect on all components of the salivary profile with two daily applications and on the appropriate level of dentobacterial plaque in children five years.
