We propose a strategic plan to manage waste generated at the La Noria Basic Specialties Hospital, HEBLN, considering the organizational scope, as well as the technical operational management that will serve to suggest as an alternative the Plan to manage waste considering strategies to control and evaluate. To carry out an adequate evaluation of each of the different phases when managing hospital waste, the Checklists of the Technical Health Standard were applied: "Comprehensive Management and Management of Solid Waste in Health Establishments, Medical Support Services and Health Centers. Investigation” (2018), concluding that the HEBLN executes the waste in an “erroneous” manner through the various processes, it was also taken as a basis for the characterization of solid waste, which considers three types of waste: infectious, special According to the data collected, the HEBLN generates approximately 100 Kilograms of waste per day, 30.32% being biocontaminated, 18.0% special and the remaining 51.68% having common characteristics. The proposal considers an initial study, considering strategies according to the requirements in the HEBLN, seeking to minimize the danger to the health of people and the environment by proposing a training plan that reduces the risks and costs involved in waste handling.
