This doctoral research work was carried out in the city of Trujillo, with the objective of comparing the addition of aloe vera in a system of elastomeric insulation and dissipation through resistance of reinforced concrete in Trujillo. The strategy adopted to address this problem consisted in the application of an experimental design, using a sample based on a non-probabilistic estimation by expert judgment. Data collection was carried out by observation, using the observation guide instrument as a tool. In addition, descriptive statistics and statistical inference techniques were used in the analysis of the data collected. The main drawback was identified as the risks of earthquakes in buildings in the city of Trujillo, which generate negative repercussions in the construction sector. To counteract this problem, aloe vera admixture was incorporated to increase the strength of the concrete. Likewise, the influence of aloe vera on concrete strength is significant, since it is shown that the percentages of 0.8 %, 1.6 % and 2. 4% increases the compressive strength with respect to the standard design of 240 kg/cm2, with a value at 28 days of curing of 257 kg/cm2 with 0% of aloe vera, the study shows an influence of a better arrangement of the aggregates by having a greater plasticity in the rheology of the structural concrete, this influence of adding aloe vera in function to the cement allows to increase resistance to 0. 8 % of 283 kg/cm2, to 1.6 % of aloe vera of 301 kg/cm2 and 2.4 % of aloe vera of 327.3 kg/cm2; this behavior of the organic material is related to a type A plasticizer in the classification of concrete with additives (ASTM C-494). Additionally, based on the resistance obtained, both elastomeric insulation and dissipation systems were compared, obtaining a better performance in the elastomeric insulation system.
