Abstract This work was carried out at the Optics and Lasers Laboratory of the Academic Department of Physics of the Faculty of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the National University of Trujillo and was developed within the framework of the research project PIC No. 05-2021 Mod. 01, V Call for Projects with funding from the Mining Canon of the Research and Ethics Directorate of UNT. The main objective was to use the Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS) analysis technique to perform elemental analysis of archaeological metal objects. Nine different archaeological metal objects from two archaeological sites in Huanchaco, on the northern coast of Peru, it was determined that all of them contained copper, and some also had gold and silver. These results aligned with those obtained through X-ray fluorescence analysis, leading to the conclusion that the LIBS technique is suitable for the rapid and qualitative elemental analysis of archaeological metal objects without sample preparation
