ABSTRACT The purpose of this research work is to analyze the survival strategies of families in the 3rd sector of Wichanzao, through: The distribution of economic resources, through the basic needs that families lack in: food, health, education, work and leisure. The organization of the family productive unit, such as economic activities: taxi, food sales, cellar, animal husbandry, clothing sale and room rental. And the support networks adopted by families: provision of food, non-profit support, reduction of food from the basic family basket, small business entrepreneurship, personal savings and work. The analysis of survival strategies in the context of the prolonged crisis currently being experienced in the country is a concern and object of study of various socio-economic research studies that seek to give an account of what Peru is today. Particularly noteworthy are studies on survival strategies in the urban environment, ranging from the so-called survival organizations to the phenomenon of informality. One of the aspects that stand out are the support networks that exist in families, especially with the participation of each member of the household. However, there are not many specific studies on survival strategies in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.
