In March 2017, the Quebrada San Ildefonso, Trujillo, Peru, was activated as a result of the El Niño Costero 2017 event, which impacted on urban infrastructure along the path of its channel. This research demonstrated the relationship between atmospheric pressure and environmental temperature, on the fluctuation of the water level in an artesian well in the San Ildefonso stream, verified through the variation of both a few hectopascals (hPa) of pressure, and the increase of temperature, which determined the fluctuation of the water table below the ground surface. For this purpose, the environmental parameters of the year 2018 were measured as well as the level of the water table of the well in question and between January and July 2019. The data was taken from the surface of the land to the water level inside the well and every six hours, according to the maximum and minimum oscillation of the barometric tide. Simultaneously the temperature of air, water and soil was recorded. The results show that the variation in atmospheric pressure and the environmental temperature directly and inversely influence the water level of the well, that the variation of the water level in the well is greater in the months of January to March than in the months of April to July, and that there is a direct relationship between the precipitation recorded in the stream basin and the variation in the level of the water table, in a short period of time.
