Anopheles albimanus is one of the vectors of the etiological agent of Malaria in humans, whose control strategies depend mainly on the use of synthetic insecticides, which are threatened due to the rapid development of resistance and changes in vector behavior and due to Therefore, it is necessary to implement the alternative use of botanical insecticides, which are environmentally safe and have less chance of developing resistance. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to determine the larvicidal activity of the ethanolic extract of Azadirachta indica "Neem" leaves against Anopheles albimanus strain Sanarte. For this, the ethanolic extract obtained from A. indica leaves from a plantation of the El Mirador Population Center, Chongoyape District, Lambayeque region, was used; Its insecticidal activity was evaluated at concentrations of 5%, 15%, 25% and 35% on third stage larvae of An. albimanus strain Sanarte, mortality was evaluated every 24 hours until 72 hours of exposure. A 98% mortality was determined in the highest concentration (35%), finding significant differences (p > 0.05) between the concentrations at 48 hours. The mean lethal concentration (LC50) was 4.20 ±0.51 mg/mL. It is concluded that the ethanolic extract of Azadirachta indica has larvicidal activity against Anopheles albimanus.
