ABSTRACT This research analyzes the social effect of the digital divide in high school students of I.E. 67 Jesús Nazareno, Guadalupe-La Libertad in 2022. This research is phenomenological and descriptive, since it was based on collecting information on a particular phenomenon based on the application of descriptive methods of the qualitative approach. We sought to build stories about virtual education through in-depth interviews, to reflect theoretically on narratives regarding social gaps. A total of 6 people were interviewed, including teachers, mothers and 3- year-old students. The results of the research indicate that virtual education was a phenomenon that was experienced in an unequal way in each secondary school student and their families of the present educational house. Students were unprepared in the use of technology for virtual education and families did not have the resources to access them, due to the lack of employment during the time of confinement. Faced with this, the educational institution I.E. 67 Jesús Nazareno had measures that tried to weigh those cases of students with greater academic and material difficulties.
