The present study was developed with the purpose of strengthening the level of security that Machen Perú S.A.C. currently has. has established to process the personal data it collects and manages. As context, the protection of personal data in Peru is established under Law 29733 and is applicable to all companies and entities, so Machen is no exception. The research methodology applied in this study was mixed qualitative and quantitative, through the use of interviews, documentary review and evaluation checklist, resulting in a compliance diagnosis where the main findings were; lack of strategies to obtain consent for the processing of personal data, lack of registration of a personal data bank on the Ministerio de Justicia del Perú and absence of a protocol for the attention of any person who wants to exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and opposition to the use of your personal data. As a solution to these findings, improvement alternatives were defined that it is recommended that Machen implement to align with the requirements established by local regulations regarding the protection of Personal Data. On the other hand, management indicators were also defined so that Machen can measure over time the design and operation of the controls to be implemented. Finally, the benefits that implementing these measures can bring to Machen are described, starting with reducing the probability of economic losses due to the imposition of sanctions and fines by the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data and mitigating the possibility that these may have an impact on damage to your reputation.
