Objective: to determine the level of knowledge and attitudes about the administration of intravenous drugs in nursing students at a Private University, 2024. Materials and methods: quantitative approach, non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational design. The study population was made up of 65 nursing students from the VI cycle of the María Auxiliadora University – I semester 2024. The sample was census-based. The instruments were a valid and reliable questionnaire and a Likert-type scale. Results: the majority are female, representing 75.38% (49). Regarding age, the majority group is students aged 30 or younger, representing 41.54% (27). The students have regular knowledge, represented by 63.08% (41), followed by 24.62% (16) with good knowledge and 12.31% (8) with knowledge deficient. The majority had an unfavorable attitude, represented by 56.92% (37), followed by a favorable attitude with 43.08% (28). The chi-square test shows a value of 8.527 with 2 degrees of freedom and an asymptotic (two-sided) significance of 0.014. Conclusions: there is a significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes about the administration of intravenous drugs in nursing students at a Private University, 2024.
