In recent years, there has been a notable increase in the demand for high-speed communications networks, which has led to a concomitant expansion in the use of fiber optics in a variety of technological applications. This has created a pressing need for sophisticated tools for the management and maintenance of this type of infrastructure. The present work proposes the development of an integrated platform for the detection of faults in fiber optic networks, with the objective of enhancing the efficiency of fault identification and resolution, thereby reducing the downtime of telecommunications at the transport level in a backbone fiber optic network. The proposed platform is designed to facilitate a straightforward process for the examination of faults. It should encompass sections that facilitate a notable enhancement in the analysis of incidents, including details pertaining to the technology utilized in mobile services, the specific type of transportation employed, and the underlying backbone and aggregation networks. The platform will be designed in a web-based environment, allowing access from workstations and mobile devices. This will ensure an immediate response to any eventuality by users. It is anticipated that the results will demonstrate a notable enhancement in fault detection and resolution capabilities in comparison to traditional methods. This will illustrate the optimization potential of fiber optic network management.
