The increase in the number of older adults in the world represents one of the greatest achievements of humanity, as well as one of the greatest challenges, since it implies greater economic and social demands. Due to the increase in the numbers of the elderly population and life expectancy, aging has pushed countries to seek to optimize the quality of life of this population. Objective: Determine the level of quality of life in older adults at the Gerontological-Geriatric Residential Care Center in a district of Metropolitan Lima 2024. Material and method: Descriptive study with a quantitative and cross-sectional approach – non-experimental design, with a population of 34 older adults. The questionnaire used was “WHOQOL- OLD” originally developed by the WHO in the United States (2006), adapted in Mexico for its Spanish version in 2013 by Acosta C, et al. and validated in Peru by Queirolo S., Barboza M. and Ventura-León J. (2020). Analysis plan: The data obtained were stored in a spreadsheet of the Microsoft Excel 2016 program for coding, analysis and obtaining the central mean, in addition absolute and relative frequencies were represented in tables. Results: The quality of The life of the elderly was regular at 76.5%, poor at 23.5% , no resident had a good quality of life. Conclusion: Quality of life at a regular level predominated in the older adults evaluated.
