Vaccines are one of the health measures that has produced and continues to produce the greatest benefit to humanity, they prevent diseases that previously caused great epidemics, deaths and sequelae, they are administered intramuscularly and, in some cases, orally, several doses spaced apart in time to ensure that immunity is maintained throughout its life. Hence the importance of compliance with the vaccination schedule. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about vaccines that mothers have and compliance with the vaccination schedule in children under 18 months attended at Health Post I-2 January 1, Iquitos 2021. The sample consisted of 71 mothers Material and methods: A knowledge questionnaire about vaccines and a check sheet on compliance with the vaccination schedule (vaccination card) were applied. with a validity of 99% concordancia and reliability of 0.752%. Results: Of the 23 mothers who complied with the vaccination schedule, 17 (73.9%) were between 21 and 34 years old, 82.6% cohabiting, 82.6% secondary level. (52.2%) housewives, (39.1%) two children, (69.6%) does not work. When relating to compliance with the vaccination schedule: Mother's age p = 0.976, marital status p = 0.640, educational level p = 0.268, occupation p = 0.055, number of children p = 0.934, income p = 0.206. There is no statistically significant relationship between any of the characteristics of the mothers (p> 0.05) and compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers with children under 18 months of age. 80.3% of the mothers obtained medium level knowledge, 16.9% high knowledge. 67.6% do not comply with the vaccination schedule, it was concluded that there is a significant statistical relationship between the level of knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule (p = 0.015)
