The objective of this investigation is to determine the prevalence of knee valgus in children of the AA.HH MAMMA IRENE ZONA of the district of San Juan Bautista. The research is of a basic type, of a non-experimental design, qualitative and of a descriptive level. The sample consisted of 110 children between men and women between the ages of 7 to 9 and 10 to 12 years, this pathology being more prevalent in the ages of 7 to 9 years. For data collection, the observational technique and instruments such as the Q Angle test were used. The variables under study were; age, sex, weight, and knee valgus classification. To process the data obtained, the programs SPSS, EXCELL and descriptive statistics were used. Given the process, the following results were reached; the prevalence of knee valgus in the study population is 20.91%. Regarding age, it can be seen that there is a prevalence of knee valgus of 20% in children aged 7 to 9 years and 0.91% in children aged 10 to 12 years. In relation to the male sex, there is a prevalence of knee valgus of 8.18% and 12.73% with respect to the female sex, this pathology being more prevalent in the female sex. Regarding weight, 20.91% have normal weight and no overweight children suffering from this pathology were detected. In relation to the classification of knee valgus, 20.91% have muscular knee valgus and no children with bony knee valgus were detected. In conclusion, the prevalence of knee valgus is 23 per 110 children evaluated, that is, 20.91% do present knee valgus and 79.09% do not present this pathology.
