Abstract: En este estudio se determinó la diversidad y abundancia de primates en
los bosques montanos de la Región Amazonas, al norte del Perú; para
ello se utilizó la metodología de censos por transectos, con las
recomendaciones dadas por Aquino (2015) y entrevistas abiertas a la
población aledaña.
Durante el recorrido de 334 km, fueron registrados 13 grupos
pertenecientes a cuatro especies, de dos familias (Atelidae y Cebidae);
Lagothrix flavicauda contó con siete grupos, seguido de Sapajus
macrocephalus con tres grupos y un grupo de Ateles belzebuth. L.
flavicauda fue la especie más abundante con 0,21 grupos/km y 1,64
indiv./10km, seguido de S. macrocephalus con 0.15 grupos/km y 0.9
indiv./10km; C. yuracus con 0.06 grupos/km y 0.48 indiv./10km y la menor
abundancia corresponde a A. belzebuth con 0,03 grupos/km y 0,36
indiv./10km.
This study determined the diversity and density of primates in the montane forests of the Amazonas region, at north of Peru. Transect, census methodology was used, with the recommendations given by Aquino (2015) and interviews with the surrounding population.
