In recent years, the problems due to the lack of evacuation of rainwater, this is associated with population growth, since the urbanized area, increasing its size, produces a need for increasingly better infrastructures and mainly pavements for good traffic. . At present, innovative constructions are needed to reduce the problems caused by heavy rainfall or the deficit that exists in the collection of rainwater. The purpose of this investigation was to determine a type of porous concrete, with the capacity to infiltrate rainwater and derive it to natural or artificial drains and solve the problem of waterlogging in rainy areas and with flat topography, it also seeks to determine if carrying out a correct design of Porous Concrete mixture, which meets adequate mechanical properties, can be used in the drainage system and thus have an optimal rainwater diversion system in the streets of the Morales district. The intense rainfall that has occurred in recent years in the Morales district, the drainage system is in poor condition, which causes an increase in the flow of water that, in addition to saturating the storm sewers and the roadway, turns the streets of our district into real rivers. Preventing rainwater from accumulating in large quantities on the surface layer of rigid pavements is possible, using a layer made up of Porous Concrete. At present, innovative constructions are needed to reduce the problems caused by heavy rainfall or the deficit that exists in water collection. Porous concrete is a special concrete, which allows the passage of water through its structure thanks to the high percentage of voids it has, unlike traditional concrete. This quality contributes to culminating in the lack of permeability in traditional concrete structures, avoiding structural failures due to waterlogging and runoff. 6 The general objective is to improve the storm drainage system of the streets of the Morales district, province and department of San Martín, through the porous concrete design proposal, allowing the draining concrete to perform without any inconvenience as for pavements and storm drainage systems. The investigation carried out in this Thesis, seeks to determine if by carrying out a correct design of the Porous Concrete mix, which meets adequate mechanical properties, it can be used as a wearing course in rigid pavements, and in this way have an optimal drainage system in the streets of the Morales district. The basic considerations of designing a porous pavement must be taken into account, such as: soil conditions, characteristics of porous concrete and evaluation of rainfall in the locality. It is about the calculation to achieve the design of the drainage system, as well as the thicknesses that our porous pavement will have and its application to a specific problem. According to the results obtained in the design, it is concluded that the proposal presented in this investigation meets the basic parameters to be considered as an appropriate design to improve the storm drainage system of the streets of the Morales district.
