Perinatal death, that which occurs between week 22 of gestation and the first seven days of life after birth, according to WHO (2016), 75% of newborn deaths occur in the first week of life , with the most common causes being prematurity, infections, complications in childbirth and congenital defects. On the other hand, hypertensive disorders and preterm delivery are the most common cases of stillbirth. Objective To determine the maternal risk factors associated with perinatal mortality at the Hospital Iquitos César Garayar García October 2020. Methodology Descriptive, non-experimental, cross-sectional and prospective study. The population was made up of 100% of the perinatal deaths that occurred in the month of October at the Iquitos César Garayar García Hospital, October 2020. Results. In the sociodemographic maternal risk factors associated with perinatal mortality, it was found: 55.0% of the mothers were between 20 and 35 years old, 48.2% were living together, 53.6% had secondary education, 60.7% resided in the area. marginal urban and 51.8% have their home as occupation. In maternal-obstetric risk factors: 53.6% multiparous, 55.4% less than 6 prenatal care, 33.9% intergenetic period between 2 to 5 years and the same proportion of mothers had less than 2 years, 46.4 % had at the time of delivery between 37 and 40 weeks of pregnancy and 60.7% had vaginal delivery and maternal pathologies associated with perinatal mortality: 83.9% anemia during pregnancy, 42.9% gestational hypertension, 1.8 % diabetes, 53.6% urinary infection, 39.3% premature rupture of membranes and 28.6% had placental anomalies. Conclusions. It is concluded that there are maternal risk factors associated with perinatal death.
