The Peruvian Amazon is home to high diversity of species of primate species are being extinguished quickly by human populatios. That is why this study has the general objective to determine the diversity and abundance of primates and threatsto the survival of their populations. The methodology used was to open six transects 4km to cenasus the populations of primates, that of 2069 km transect routes betweeo the basins of the Tigre and Napo rivers -were recorded 752 groups belonging to 17 species of primates. Of the total, 151 were for Silvery woolly monkey groups, and 132 to Saguinus lagonotus becoming the most common species in the study area. The opposite occurred with Pithecia napensis with only seven groups observed. Households smaller Silvery woolly monkey were recorded in Upper Itaya considered high disturbance, depending on the level of forest disturbance ranged from seven to 15 ad averaged 10.9 individuals and larger size Curaray River area considered low disturbance where the sizes ranged from 9-21 and average 15.2 individuals. The lowest population density was for Alouatta seniculus in Alto Nanay (1.2 individuals/ km2) and highest for L. poeppigii in Curaray (77.5 individuals / km2). Among the primates as large size, White-bellied spider mokey was observed only in the field of Curaray, while absence in other sectors dueto its local extinction. Finally, in the evaluated sectors, the main activities that constitute threats to populations of primates in general are hunting, deforestation, hydrocarbon exploration and harvestingof fruits.
