The main objective of this research project is to evaluate the cost and execution time of gabion, bracket and gravity type retaining structures in the town of Alfonso Ugarte, district of Shamboyacu, province of Picota, department of San Martin. To achieve these results, research methodologies have been used, such as the descriptive type whose scheme is dedicated to the evaluation of the cost and time in the execution of gabion, bracket and gravity type retaining structures. With respect to the evaluation of the cost, we took into account the soil studies, location of the rock quarry, plans, metrics, labor prices based on capeco 01-05- 2022 TO 31-05-2023, prices of inputs and machinery based on market prices, where we also took into account the calculations of freight of materials, mobilization and demobilization of machinery and equipment. The results of the cost variation between the gabion wall (285,537.44) and the bracket (292,197.01) is 6,659.57, being the difference minimal. Therefore, it could be said that building a gabion wall is more economical. The results of the cost variation between the gabion wall (285,537.44) and gravity (306,191.90) is 20,654.46. Therefore, it could be said that a gabion wall is more economical. The results of the cost variation between the cantilever wall (292,197.01) and gravity (306,191.90) is 13,994.89. Therefore, it could be said that the cantilever wall is more economical. The results of the variation in the execution time between a gabion wall (46 d.c.) and cantilever (56 d.c.) is 10 d.c. Therefore, it could be said that executing a gabion wall takes less time than executing a cantilever wall.
