The study was conducted as a result of the observations and/or consultations made on the underlying principles of a Simplified Award, which are linked to the concept of competition in State Contracting. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of the Simplified Award on the right of suppliers to compete in state contracting procedures in the province of Maynas. The approach of the study is purely descriptive; it aims to explain particular facts that help the collection of data in situ and pertinent to the current reality. The findings of the collection, processing and analysis of the data collected were relative, indicating that most of the suppliers were men; in addition, the findings of the observations and/or consultations of the suppliers' bases by the Contracting Entities are fundamental to promote an integrated, efficient and competitive public procurement. The study is justified by Administrative and Public Administration Law, in the context of a schematic line of analysis of the suppliers that participated in a simplified selection method of Maynas. Likewise, it has a practical validity insofar as it helps to understand how Simplified Awarding interacts with the concept of freedom of participation of suppliers in State contracting procedures.
