The purpose of this research was to establish the correlation between eating patterns and nutritional status in infants from 1 to 4 years of age, within the scope of the Health Services Provider Institution (IPRESS) I-3 Túpac Amaru, located in Iquitos, during the year 2024. This study is framed in a quantitative, nonexperimental, descriptive, correlational and prospective design. The sample consisted of 98 children who attended the CREDE control clinic of the IPRESS Túpac Amaru during the months of February and March of that year. For data collection, a methodology was implemented that involved both interviews and direct observation. Prior to this, a questionnaire was administered after obtaining informed consent from the mothers and the children's medical records were reviewed. An instrument validity of 0.8193 was achieved, which indicates high validity and consistency, and an instrument reliability of 0.827, evaluated using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results revealed that 24.4% of the children had a normal nutritional status, while 9.3% were underweight and 4.1% were overweight. It was observed that 59.2% of children with normal nutritional status and 2.2% with low weight maintained healthy lifestyle habits. In addition, statistically significant relationships were identified between eating habits and different indicators of nutritional status (P/E, P/T and T/E). For example, 85.7% of the children had a normal weight according to P/E, 96.0% had an adequate weight according to P/T and 63.3% maintained a normal height according to T/E. Likewise, it was observed that 62.3% of the children showed healthy eating habits, while 37.7% exhibited unhealthy habits. In conclusion, the results obtained in this research support the proposed hypothesis, evidencing the influence of eating habits on the nutritional status of the children evaluated
