The purpose of this invcsigation is to idenify the correlation between the 16 Personality Factors described by Raymond Cattell, and he Social Conformity Phenomenun. Social Cunfurmity is a Social Psychulugy phcnomenon which w:is C."q>Crimenully studied by many Psychologists likc Solomon Asch, Sanlcy Milgram and Serge Moscovici, this phenomnenon makes pcople accommodatc to the majority's responses even if the responses are u·rong or ifthey don't go according to our own rcasoning. The first phase of this rescarch consists on evaluate 46 sudents from the Universidad Cienifica del Perú with the 16PF Questiunnairc, the sclection uf thc srudcnts was randomized. Toe final phase involves thc participation ofthe srudents in thc recrcation of the Asch's Experiment realizcd in 1951. Ir was found that the 48% ofthc participants prescnted a High Cooformity and the 76% conformed to the group at least once. Whe the cspc riment's results wcre compaccd ro the Pcrson2lity Profile!- obtained before, it was found that low seores on the Self-Reliancc (Q2) factor are rclated to the Social Confomúty, an expected result according Catcll's findings. At the same time, high seores on the Warmtch (A) and Social Boldness (H) factors, and low seores on thc Emotional Sablity (C) and Abstractcdncss (M)factors long with lowv seores on the Q2 factor scems to indicate subjects with a high prcdisposition to socially confnrm to the group's normativity.
