The present study was aimed at solving the following research problem: What is the seroprevalence of the SARS-CoV-2 antigen in patients who attend the Caballococha EsSalud II Primary Care Center from January to December 2021? The research objective was: To determine the seroprevalence of the SARS-CoV-2 antigen in patients who attend the Caballococha EsSalud II Primary Care Center from January to December 2021. Material and methods: This research is descriptive and retrospective. We worked with a sample of 1863 patients who were asked for the SARS-CoV-2 antigenic test. For the analysis of the information, the statistical package of SPSS V.25 was used. Results: The seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2 was 27.48%; according to sex, 293 were female (57.23%), according to age, the most frequent range was from 31 to 40 years with 167 (32.62%), according to origin it was Ramón Castilla with 213 (41.60%). Conclusions: Antigen tests for COVID-19 work by detecting the presence of virus-specific antigens in a nasopharyngeal swab sample. These tests are quick and can be done at the point of care, making them very useful for early detection of the disease.
