Patient satisfaction is the sum of the quality of care received by the nurse who is caring for the patient and the confirmation of positive expectations about the care to be received. Objective: To determine the level of patient satisfaction with nursing care in the surgical service of a hospital in Iquitos, 2024. The present study is quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, with a population of 150 and a sample of 108 patients who were attended in the surgery service. The chi-square test was used for measurement, and a significant positive correlation of p < 0.005 was observed. Result: Of the patients under study 30% were between 57 and 70 years old and 19% were between 34 and 56 years old. Regarding sex, 56% were female and 44% male. Level of schooling 12% had elementary school; in marital status 38% were married and 9% were widowed. Regarding the level of satisfaction 70.4% experienced medium satisfaction 25.9% high satisfaction. In the dimensions patients experienced medium satisfaction in accessibility 50.9%, explains and facilitates 59.3%, comforts 54.7%, anticipates 58.3%, maintains trusting relationships 58.3% and with high satisfaction accessibility 39.8%, explains and facilitates 34.2%, comforts 36.6%, anticipates 25%, maintains trusting relationships 25%. In low satisfaction: in accessibility 9.3%, explains and facilitates 6.5%, comforts 11.7%, anticipates 16.7%, maintain trusting relationships 16.7%. Conclusion: Patients have a medium level of satisfaction, a result that shows that the expectations that patients have when receiving nursing care are not being met, and few of them are highly satisfied with the care received.
