The main objective of this research was to establish the relationship between dental caries and salivary PH in diabetic patients at a MINSA health facility, Iquitos 2023. The type of research carried out was prospective, quantitative, descriptive, correlational, transversal and the design was non-experimental. The sample was made up of 213 diabetic patients from the non-communicable program of the Bellavista Nanay health center in the district of Punchana. The technique used was clinical observation to obtain the CPO-D index. To measure the salivary PH level, the PH METER brand PH meter, model PH-009(I), was used; which allowed data to be collected for both variables. The results obtained were that in patients with acidic salivary pH, 26.3% presented very high DMFT, 4.2% was high, 1.9% was moderate, 1.4% was very low and 0.9% was very low. % was low. In patients with neutral salivary pH, 18.8% had very high cpod, 12.2% had very low, 7.5% had high and 0.9% had low. In patients with basic salivary pH, 19.7% were very high, 2.9% were high, 1.9% were very low, and 1.4% were low. It was observed that, as the cpod is very high, the salivary pH level will be acidic. The Chi square statistical test was applied, with a X2c= 38.465; p_value = 0.000 < 0.05; That is, with an error less than 0.05%, the null hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis is accepted. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between dental caries and salivary PH in diabetic patients.
