Health and sanitation conditions are one of the elements that have a direct impact on the Human Development Index (HDI), living conditions and life expectancy of the population. The health situation in Peru is not among the best, as it suffers a permanent crisis throughout the national territory, including the department of Loreto. The presence of endemic diseases such as anemia, tuberculosis, malaria, dengue fever, among others, reflect the problems of the sector, together with the precariousness of many of its hospital infrastructures at all levels, the lack of medical and paramedical personnel, the scarcity of sanitation services in many of them, located mainly in the rural area in the urban periphery. The Padre Cocha Health Post, located in the urban periphery of the city of Iquitos, initially of rural character, and that due to its proximity has been experiencing in recent years a strong process of urbanization with the consequent population increase. However, the infrastructure of the Padre Cocha I-2 Health Post has not improved in accordance with the incessant process of urbanization and population increase; on the contrary, it has been experiencing permanent deterioration and does not satisfy the health urgency of its resident population and the populations of nearby rural communities that it serves. This situation has led us to develop the present work of Professional Sufficiency with the purpose that architecture can contribute to improve the quality of health care and consequently the quality of life of the population.
