In Peru, one of the main problems to promote the development of many remote and poor localities is not having asphalt roads since in most soils they do not have the adequate mechanical properties of the subgrade. In this thesis, the effect on the physical-mechanical properties of the soil has been investigated with two chemical stabilizers most used by different companies in the field of road construction. The additives to be studied are PROES and CONAID, produced by the companies PROES PERU SAC and TDM Grupo, respectively. These products are stabilizers based on sulphated oils, which is their main property to increase the resistance of clay soils. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of the application of these additives through their dosages given in their technical sheet to improve the bearing capacity (CBR) of the subgrade of the Yurimaguas - Munichis highway, Alto Amazonas province, department of Loreto. Likewise, compare them to determine which of the two presents a greater increase in the mechanical properties of the soil. For the samples obtained, posts and pits were made on the damaged road that is paved, physical and mechanical tests were carried out for natural soil, on the soil with liquid additives (PROES and CONAID) and on the soil with solid additives (PROES + CEMENTO and CONAID + CEMENTO). All the tests were carried out in the Soil Mechanics Laboratory of the Consultant and Constructor ROA, following the Peruvian Technical Standards. Our results show that the soil is loamy-clayey, according to the SUCS and AASHTO classification. On the other hand, the maximum CBR percentage for the natural soil was 3%, which, according to the MTC, is an inadequate subgrade. In the case of soil modified with PROES and CONAID liquid additives, the maximum CBR percentage is 13% and 10%, which corresponds to a good subgrade. Finally, for the solid additives PROES and CONAID, the maximum CBR percentage is 70% and 58%, which corresponds to an excellent subgrade. Finally, it is concluded that both solid additives PROES and CONAID improve the mechanical properties, which taking into account that the CONAID additive was used because less dosage was applied and it is cheaper to stabilize the subgrade 14 of the Yurimaguas - Munichis highway, province of Alto Amazonas, Loreto department.
